Clinical Linkages works with health care organizations to provide services and resources that result in safer, more

effective patient care based on the principles of EBP. Lisa Sams, RNC, MSN, president of Clinical Linkages, has more than 30 years of nursing experience in academic centers and community hospitals. This includes:

• Manager for Inpatient and Outpatient Research Protocols, Perinatal Research Facility, (NICHD) Georgetown University, Washington, DC
• Director of Nursing and Case Manager for Preterm Labor, Department of Maternal-Fetal Medicine Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, VA
• Faculty member at Beth El College of Nursing, Colorado Springs, CO
• Faculty member at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX

Ms. Sams also worked with three national committees to establish a permanent framework for the development of evidence-based practice guidelines during her tenure at the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses.

Currently, she is an active member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) and the American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE).

Sara Towner Wright, MLS
Librarian

Ms. Wright has more than 15 years of experience as a medical librarian in the academic and hospital arenas. She trains residents and others in evidence searching, has presented at national conferences, and consulted with hospitals. Her expertise includes PubMed searches, librarianship for evidence-based research, and physician education about evidence-based medicine.
